The V4 cluster focuses on developing the next iterations of the sleeve. It has multiple parts: hardware, form, and fabrics. The hardware part works with the electronic circuit design and other extra electronic components. Form and fabrics focuses on the comfort and aesthetic of the sleeve: Form explores different techniques of molding silicon to hold the electronics together and fabrics tests materials for the enclosing of the sleeve.
V4 production is responsible for developing the sleeve and its manufacturing process. This cluster makes the connection between the functionality and the design of the sleeve. While the inside of the sleeve is taken care of by the hardware and form part, the outside is designed by the fabrics part of the cluster. The goal is to deliver a functional and aesthetically pleasing sleeve that can be used by the different research clusters and events.
